Mint rice can be prepared in many ways I prepare in different ways but i like most this recipe...Iam sure even u like this one.......
Ingredients:
1. Mint - 1/2 bunch
2. Cilantro - equal quantity as mint
3. chopped carrots - 1/2 cup
4. onions - 1 small
5. tomato - 1 small
6. green chilli
7. salt
8. oil
9. mustard
10. jerra
11. urad dal
12. channa dal
13. Rice - 1 cup
Preparation:
1. In a blender add Mint leaves, chopped cilantro,salt and green chillies and blend to paste and keep aside.
2. In cooker cook rice by adding 2 cups water to rice for 3 whistles
3. In a pan add oil Once oil gets heated add mustard,jerra,urad dal, channa dal .
4. Once they start to splitter add carrots and saute for few mins till they become soft
5. Now add onions and saute till they turn soft
6. now add tomatoes and little turmeric pd and let that cook
7. Once tomatoes are done add the paste(from step 1) and saute for a min or till the water is absorbed from paste.
8. Now add precooked rice and salt and mix well...
Note : Add the paste to your taste.If u like spicey or strong then add more mint paste if not u can store the paste in refrigerator and use later(paste means from step 1)
